Hannah le Roux is director of the Architecture programme in the School of Architecture and Planning, University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. Her writing on architecture has appeared in books including blank_architecture, apartheid and after, Narrating Architecture, Afropolis, and in journals including Domus, The Journal of Architecture and the Architectural Review. She has curated exhibitions in Johannesburg, London and Venice as well as for the 2012 Rotterdam Biennale. In practice, she is involved in the repurposing of modernist buildings and public spaces in Johannesburg, with published projects for Bloemenhof Park, Upat and KwaThema.
